Barbara King is an actress, comedian, and writer based in Los Angeles.
Barbara received her BFA in Drama from the prestigious acting program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she was also the President of the Student Council, a Founder’s Day Scholar, and the recipient of the Key Pin and Scroll Award.
Theatrically, Barbara has written and starred in several off-Broadway productions, including the hit Maidin America, and the well-acclaimed New York International Fringe Festival one-woman-show, ‘Rapt Inside’, proving herself as “a name to be looked for in downtown theatre” (nytheatre.com).
Following her theatrical success, Barbara moved onto film and TV, playing the lead role in several award-winning independent films and guest starring in TV shows including the season premier of Law & Order, Parks and Recreation, Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, Grey’s Anatomy, and soap operas. She has also starred in over 15 national commercials.
Barbara can be seen performing comedy with LA Times “Top Pick” improv group RDJRJR and as a guest player in the Groundlings’ Crazy Uncle Joe Show.
She lives in L.A. with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
